Personal Training Programs 

At Trainer San Francisco we offer personal training and nutrition programs to maximize results, all based on science. 

Whether you want to lose, maintain or gain weight, our training and nutrition programs evolve with you as you progress in your training plan. 

All training programs include the following:

  1. Initial meeting with a Certified Exercise Physiologist or a Degreed Personal Trainer to discuss your goals and experience with fitness in general.
  2. Clarification of your goals, and a realistic plan on how we will help you achieve them.
  3. Recommendations on where to start with your goals and suggested incremental changes that you can implement immediately.
  4. Postural assessment and movement screen.
  5. Recommendations for our optional nutrition programs, body composition tests, and written workout plans. 
  6. Unlimited Body Composition and Body Measurements at our Mission Bay location.
     

Get Started Personal Training Program

Take that first step and get closer to your goals! This program is perfect if you're looking to jump start your training routine, or if you would like to try out personal training.

This 3 session program includes a 30-minute initial assessment with a certified exercise physiologist or degreed personal trainer to discuss your goals, training background, injuries and health history. Exercise prescriptions needed from your physician or physical therapist will be determined during your assessment.

This training package is available for first time clients and can only be purchased one time. Sessions are 55 minutes.

Training Program Recommendations

1. "I don't work out, but I want to be healthy. Which option should I choose?"
If you're not going to do any strength training on your own, we recommend the 1-year program to ensure that you are meeting the weekly recommendations for strength training. You would need to do 2 1/2 hours of cardio on your own per week.

2. "I'm new to training, where should I start?"
We recommend starting with a consultation and assessment. Both of these are free and at no charge to you.

3. "I do cardio on my own, and would like to learn how to strength train; which option do you recommend?"
It generally takes about 10-20 sessions to work on form and learn a routine. This, of course, is dependent on your prior experience and body mechanics. 

4. "I don't want to spend a lot of money, and I'm motivated to workout on my own. I'd like to get a training plan that I can follow on my own."
You can go with two options to meet this goal: the first option is to do the Get Started Package, and then buy the Google Sheets Training Program. Depending on how involved your workout routine will be, we will create a 5 day training plan for you to follow based on your initial sessions. 

5. "I really want to get results. I'd like to lose 15 lbs and gain some muscle."
We recommend starting out with your training sessions. Many people start shifting their habits once they start training. After a few sessions, we can discuss what support you need on the nutrition side of things. We have a self-guided program that you can follow at a very low price to ensure you're eating right to support your training program.

 

Personal training program add-on options

All personal training programs have the following add-on options to help support your individual needs throughout your personal training program.

Body composition assessments: you will get an initial body composition assessment using the Tanita segmental body composition monitor or the Jackson-Pollock 7-site body composition skin fold assessment. You'll find out your lean muscle mass and overall body fat weight. 
Cost: Unlimited for Trainer SF clients. $50 for non-Trainer SF clients.

Personal fitness page: We will upload your body composition and body measurement data, along with your baseline photos to a private, secure webpage that is hosted on trainersanfrancisco.com. 
Cost: $100 for initial page creation. $50 for updates to your page.

Nutrition program options: Self Guided with Light Coaching: 1-month online nutrition program, Guided Coaching: 2-month nutrition program, Full Coaching: 4 to 6-month nutrition program. 
Cost: $120 per 60 minute session.

Google Sheets training programs: We develop training plans and make them available using Google Sheets allowing you to pull up your workouts and make notes throughout your training program.
Cost: $120 per 60 minutes of program planning. Most programs are developed in about 60 minutes, but can vary depending on your goals and program needs.

Our rates vary based on the trainer's level and whether you decide to add any additional options to your personal training program. Please check with us to see if you qualify for discounted rates.

$125 per 55 min session
$1,000 for 10 sessions | $100 per session

Get Started Training Package, 3 sessions | $199 for first time clients

Degreed Trainers: Level III and Level IV
$150 per 55 min session
$1,250 for 10 sessions | $125 per session

Get Started Training Package, 3 sessions | $250 for first time clients
