Katie Fletcher | Degreed Personal Trainer
A fitness expert and general health enthusiast, Katie is dedicated to sharing her passion for all things related to movement, balance, and self-improvement. A San Diego native, she has been exposed to active lifestyles for as far back as she can remember. As such, Katie has experience with almost countless different forms of exercise, ranging from competitive Crossfit to DOGA (yoga with your dog)! She also became involved with competitive sports at a young age, something that eventually resulted in a Division I soccer career at Yale University.
When she is not working out, Katie enjoys learning about the latest research in nutrition, her greatest passion second only to exercise. As of now, Katie is working towards a degree in the History of Science and Medicine with a public health concentration at Yale. During her time off from school, Katie obtained a nutritional therapist certification and aims to become a personal trainer in the near future. This is because she believes that a health education is incomplete without the hands on experience of working directly with clients to instill a sense of achievement and self-confidence discovered through healthy living.
"If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you."
As a certified indoor cycling instructor and a college athlete, Katie prides herself on her ability to work well with others. With patience and understanding, the constructive feedback she provides sets the foundation form an honest environment that brings clients closer to their fitness goals. Recognizing the importance of both physical and mental strength, Katie combines the principles of aerobic and anaerobic exercise, proper nutrition, balance and mobility, as well as positive encouragement to create a complete mind and body transformation.
